Utlity Connection

Internet and Telephone –National Broadband Network (NBN Co)

The Assembly Apartments is a NBN ready development which means you are able to connect to NBN service providers who are ableto provide super-fast internet access to occupants. It is important to note that NBN Co is a wholesale network provider, which means NBN Co is responsible for the operation and maintenance of this service. Telephone and internet services can be provided by service providers and not by NBN Co directly.Contact your preferred service provider to arrange connection of telephone internet and supply of handset(s) if required. You must advise the Building Manager of the connection date so that access to the premises can be made available. The NBN equipment is located inside the secure box inside of your wardrobe. The NBN equipment includes a Network Termination Device (NTD), a Fibre Wall Outlet (FWO) and a Power Supply Unit (PSU). The NTD is roughly the same size as a DSL Broadband Modem.

Electricity

The electricity to your apartment is supplied via a metered electricity network.Contact your preferred electricity retailer to arrange connection of electricity to your apartment or to update billing records. To turn power on in your apartment make sure that all circuit breakers and the main switch are in the on or up position. The switchboard is located inside of the kitchen joinery unit facing the living area.

Cold Water

The water meters and stop valves for the cold water supply are located within the cupboard in the public corridor. Each stop valve is labelled with the appropriate apartment number. Please contact City West Wateron 131 691 to arrange updating of records and billing of cold water to your apartment.

Hot Water

The hot water supplied to your apartment is generated through utilisation of centralised gas fired hot water plant which is located in the roof plant area of the building. Origin Energyis the connecting retailer however occupants may select their preferred service provider. For any issues/difficulties in relation to hot or cold water supply, please contact the Building Manager. The hot water meters to each apartment are typically located within the ceiling space in the corridor outside of your apartment (for access by the relevant authority through access panels that have been provided).A tempering valve has been installed in your apartment in line with current building regulations. The tempering valve is locatedinside an access panel located in your bathroom. The valve should not require maintenance and any problems associated with the hot water supply should be checked by a registered plumber.
