Natural Ingredients Help You Say GOOD-BYE to Mould

Mould can grow in your places and you don’t even notice it. It can be in your kitchen, bathroom and basement garage, where is usually dark, warm and humid. In these places, bacteria would combine with mould and grow exponentially with moisture. When the conditions are just good, mould can grow within 24-48 hours. Leaving mould untreated can cause respiratory illnesses, attacks to immune systems as well as constant allergies.
This is why it is important to kill mould at first sight with natural methods. Here are 3 household non-toxic solutions for cleaning mould:

1. Hydrogen Peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is a chemical compound. Well, it is not all-natural under this definition, but it is classed as 'non-chlorine bleach'. It is an anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial solution that kills mould effectively on a variety of materials such as kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, floors and walls.
To kill them without having to breathe in toxic bleach fumes, spray with undiluted 3% concentration hydrogen peroxide. Saturate the surface and allow it to sit for 30 minutes. The peroxide will kill the mould and mildew, but you still need to scrub the area to remove the stains they left behind.

2. Vinegar
Vinegar is a mild acid which can kill around 80% of mould species.
To kill mould, you need to use white distilled vinegar and pour it into a spray bottle without watering it down. Spray the vinegar onto the mouldy surface and leave it to sit for an hour or even longer. Finally, rinse the areas and allow the surface to dry. One small disadvantage is that the smell from the vinegar would remain for several hours which would make you uncomfortable.

3. Baking Soda
Baking soda is a mild, white mineral powder, that can be used to kill mould in your shower rooms or sinks. It is safe and has no strange smell, but it might be less effective than the two methods above. Besides killing mould, it can also absorb extra moisture to help keep mould away.
Dissolve a tablespoon of baking soda with distilled or boiled cold water. Add them to a spray bottle. Spray the mouldy area with the baking soda and water solution, then leave it there for 30 minutes. After that, use a scrub brush to remove all the mould from the surface. Next, rinse the surface with water to remove any residual. Finally, spray the area again and let the surface dry. (This will kill any remaining mould and keep the surface dry.)

Hope these 3 solutions can help you move your mould. They are just common products that you can find in your local supermarkets or pharmacies. The effectiveness decreases from the top to bottom, while the environmental-friendliness increases.
