About Burwood

VIC 3125

Burwood is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 14 km east of Melbourne's Central Business District.

Deakin University locates its main campus in Burwood, which makes this area attract more young people. Besides, there are also some high-quality private schools including Presbyterian Ladies' College, Emmaus College – Year 9 Campus, Mount Scopus Memorial College – Gandel Campus, St Scholastica's Primary School, etc. There are also some primary schools, including Wattle Park Primary School, St Benedicts Primary School, Burwood East Primary School… If you have children for education, or you are pursuing future education, Burwood would be an excellent place to live in.

Two tram routes serve the suburb. They are Route 70 (Waterfront City Docklands to Wattle Park), and Route 75 (Etihad Stadium Docklands to Vermont South). Although there is no train service in the suburb, with Burwood railway station located in the adjoining suburb of Glen Iris, there are a number of bus routes, which connect the suburb to surrounding areas. Transport in this area is still convenient, but it would be better if you’ve got a car.
