How to wind down and stay calm during the pandemic time?

healthy life

1. Use Relaxation Techniques

Finding ways to relax can be a powerful tool. Deep breathing, taking a walking, raising a pet, cooking, learning a piece of instrument, stretching, yoga, mindfulness meditation, calming music, and quiet reading are just a few examples of relaxation techniques that you can build into your routines.

Just try these activities to see which one works for you.

2. Limited News Time

To avoid becoming overwhelmed by coronavirus-related news, you need to be unplugged from the latest news. For example, you can try techniques including:

Subscribe or bookmark one or two trusted news sites and visiting them only during a limited, pre-set amount of time each day. For example, in the afternoon.

Limit your time on social media, scrolling down reading news feeds, or just browsing. What you need is not spying on other people’s lives, but real connection and love. It is better to schedule video calls with family and close friends to have a nice chat on something else.

3. Eat the Right Food

Keeping a healthy diet can promote a good mind and mood.

Eat your meals at a regular time every day. Ensure you eat enough vegetables and fruits. If you cannot ensure fresh consumption of vegetables and fruits, dried ones, canned ones, etc are also helpful.

Avoid taking junk food, too much salt, or saturated fat. Don’t skip breakfast and eat some snacks between meals to keep your metabolism at a high level.
